When I see young mom walking her kid and stuck her mug into the phone instead enjoiyng time with her kid, my blood boils. WTF is happening?!!! Especially I'm pissed over moron moms/dads who are zigzaging strollers all over bike track while checking their phones. These kind of people should not be allowed to procreate.

Bjorn, I don't have a Smart Phone. I don't have a mobile phone. In fact, I don't have a television. I do have a laptop and I have books, books and more books. I am an avid listener of the radio and love radio drama's. I walk and hike with my three dogs and live in the beautiful countryside. Perhaps I am addicted to fresh air. Must see a doctor about that!

The timing of this video is amazing. I just came back from a long walk, where I spotted this young girl, head buried in her phone, while walking, not seeing anything or where she put her feet. And I thought "how did we loose an entire generation to this?" I'm pretty sure someone once said, that if you want to change society, you need to get to the young. What a powerful tool for social engineering the smartphone is, when we have a generation, who almost solely builds their identity and self-worth on how they fare on social media on the phone. Scary.

Some time ago I got a book by Manfred Spitzer "Digital dementia". He is a German neuroscientist and psychiatrist who describes how overuse of modern technology creates literally handicapped people. The book has been translated to many languages but not into English. If you've not done so yet, try getting it and read.

Throw away your smartphone, people. I've been using a standard cellphone with keys. All my internet stuff is done on my computer. Not using any social media, either. It's so quiet now.

Im 18 years old and I am proud of me because I only use my phone for whatsapp and calls. I was a smartphone addict when I was younger I could have spend like 3 hours a day total on insagram wich is really embarassing.

I've only owned a prepaid phone that is very small. It cost me around $8 a month. When I go to my local park and see people on their smart phone I wonder why they don't put it away for at least 30 minutes and enjoy nature. It's sad.

I dream of a perfect world where smartphones don't exist and were never invented. The only thing I do that comes close is watching YouTube, but that basically my TV now.

Edit: I should mention that I watch videos on a COMPUTER, not a phone!
