This video talks about Serial Peripheral Interface Communication, and Sollae Systems' PHPoC source code.
In order to communicate via SPI, you need SCLK (Serial Clock), MOSI (Master Output, Slave Input), MISO (Master Input, Slave Output) and SS (Slave Select), which means that SPI requires at least 4 wires to communicate.
* SS can be multiple depends on how many slaves are connected.
