Friday Night Funkin' (stylized as FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN' and often abbreviated to FNF) is an open-source donationware rhythm game first released in 2020 for a game jam. The game was developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s.

Underverse (originally called Underverse!Sans) is the animated series created by Jakei95 majorly connected to the X-Tale universe. It follows the story of Sans, and how one visit by an unfriendly face would mark the start of what was to be the greatest fight for the multiverse.
The Truce takes place before X-Tale, in which Error!Sans and Ink!Sans both create a truce, supposedly for the better of the multiverse. No more destruction no more creation.

I genuinely love that Tricheal has carved itself so ineffably into Lord X's lore that the "looming void god of eternal, sadistic glee" angle to him almost fades away whenever he's made to speak in more serious works. He becomes a performer who, even in his twilight years, still carries the gravitas and emotion to make you understand why HE is the king of his craft, and intends to leave the world more interesting than he found it.

It's just that he chooses to do this by being a looming void god of eternal, sadistic glee.

All this to say, the lyrics here capture that weird, wistful sort of pride I see in a lot of the better-written Lord X takes.

I didn't even notice until now, the lyrics felt so natural on their own and didn't make the reference too hamfisted, and that's a testament to just how good the writing here actually is. GOD this song fucking rules

i really like the fact that in the duet at the end, the lyrics are sung in the same rhythm as the start of the original Cycles (but with different progressions). with how original the vocals was, only really taking one other segment from the song in earnest, that was really cool to catch.

Personally I think this is the best take on cycles. The voice is not perfect for me but it was very good still. The lyrics part was the best, for me in particular when he starts this part:"yet the void comes marching forward". It was marvelous. You and the rest did a very good job. Hope you go on like that.

I love how in the instrumental of the song there's wind flowing throughout the whole song it kinda give a vibe of like something whisper in the background and i love it. It give off a uneasy vibe to the song combine with how lord x sound in this version all is just too beautiful to describe with words, this is a nice job done !
