Camino de Santiago #caminodesantiago #caminofrances #caminodelnorte

The Camino is a long walk… it’s the first tentative step… a backpack and a pair of shoes… a top bunk and a bottom bunk… a flat path that stretches to the horizon… a cerveza at the end of the day… second breakfast… soulmates you’ve only known for five minutes… it’s a cathedral with towers that shine like beacons.

This is the Camino. What did I miss? What is your Camino? Tell me in the comments below!

A very dear friend of mine, who’d done everything from caring for sled dogs, to being a ski instructor, to Everest, and a million things in between. She was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. She’d planned to make this her last trip, but passed before she could do it. I’m going to do it next year, in her memory

What can I say. As my husband and I watched, the tears came. You have perfectly summed up what the Camino is. Of all the MANY videos we have watched, when family and friends ask us "why do you keep walking the Camino, " THIS is the video we will show them. Beautifully done. Heartfelt thanks.

I used to be a fan of the Camino de Santiago journey.
but now I am a fan of your poetic description of the journey and your angelic smile.
YOU MADE MY DAY. THANK YOU.

This literally brought tears to my eyes. It IS the camino. When you get back home, your friends won't understand. To them it was just a really long painful vacation. We pilgrims know; it's a journey. One that starts with the first step, but never really ends. I can be ready to go in an hour...

This made me cry. What a beautiful way to summarize the epic journey that is the camino. I walked del norte in 2017 and I can't wait to do it again. Thank you for reminding me of some of the best memories of my life.

I've watched a lot of Camino videos over the years and that is possibly my favourite ever. Beautiful video and really slick editing and your narration is just lovely. Thank you so much.

I was supposed to hike the camino in 2020 with a priest friend of mine. 2 weeks after I bought the plane ticket, Covid shut down the whole world and our plans were cancelled. It felt like our dream died and we moved on with our lives, but just this last week we've decided to start planning our hike for 2024. Your video just brought tears to my eyes and cemented in my mind that nothing on earth can stop us from hiking the Camino. Thank you!

I walked the Camino Frances in 2022 and again last year.
Thanks for your beautiful film Nadine.
There are two Caminos, one external and one internal. The external one reaches its destination, the internal one never does.

How nice to have a you tube channel that really touches people, a narrator with obviously a lot of soul, desire to spread her life with people she doesn't know. You are a wonderful young lady Nadine. Thank you

Wow... maybe, the best Camino video I have seen. And I have watched many. Wonderful.

A year ago (the day after Labour Day in Canada), I left home to walk the Camino Frances. When I finished that incredible journey 40 days after I left SJPdP, I cried a lot ... for months: For what I'd been through, how grateful I was, how hard it had been, how sorry I was it was over, the awesome people who made that journey all that it could have possibly been, and so much more. When people asked me about, I'd start to try to tell them something and inevitably break down in tears: There were simply no words to possibly describe it. But you found them! And I cried when reading them. Great piece of work, Nadine!

As someone who did the Camino Frances in 2016 at age 65, your summary is inspiring, accurate, and all inclusive. Your narration skills are superb!

Dear Nadine, I have watched this video several times since you posted it a year and a half ago. I watched it before my daughter and I walked the Frances in the spring of 2023. I have watched it several times since. It gets me every time, and I'm sure it will get me again every time I watch it in the future. It is beautiful. It is poetry. It is true to the Camino. Thank you!

A poem, a journey, an end, a beginning, of life, of appreciation, of joy, accepting pain, death and re-birth. Thank you for sharing it. Lv aaa

Nadine, you have truly won….there has been no better short intro to Camino. I’ve been using a movie trailer for years to introduce Camino to my groups. No longer, this has captured the heart of The Way. Bravo!!
