Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

Показать описание
This 3D animation on abdominal aortic aneurysms depicts the anatomy of the aorta and both the open and endovascular procedure for repairing an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Abdominal aortic aneurysm (also known as AAA, pronounced "triple-a") is a localized dilatation (ballooning) of the abdominal aorta exceeding the normal diameter by more than 50 percent. In the open procedure the abdomen and aorta are opened and a graft is sown into place. In an endovascular procedure catheters are used to place a stent graft in the aneurysm. Item #ANH00012

Well done. I needed to see the procedure. I had the endovascular repair (aneurysm did not ruptured) on 09-19-21 and was released two and a half days later. I’m looking at month long recovery until I’m ready to go back to work part time

I had my operation 6 days ago and returned home 24 hours after the repair. Medical Science is amazing!! I am 72 and this was the first true life-threatening illness I have ever had.

I thank God for His Mercy and the doctors for their skill.

I severed my aorta in a car crash. Let me tell you it hurt like a bitch and I am lucky to be here. I am told it was the beginning of the decending aorta and it was severed about 4cm. Surgery was about 6-7 hours and I have a hell of a scar on my back now. It is amazing what they can do in order to save ones

14 Feb 2018 was the day I died, in Bangkok the traffic jam took me an hour to get to the hospital, after CT scan emergency operation, 6 hours + They also made a bridge tube from left to right leg, I was lucky I was in the good hospital. It hurt the whole day long and got morphine for 2 weeks or more, back pain, same you get shot. I can feel the tube in the front between my legs, it costed me a lot of money and when I came out of the short coma I was happy I was alive again.
