Fun fan about the the decay knob for the Spring settings: the knob has three "zones" that are divided in thirds: low, normal, and high decay. There is no change within each zone, so you can twist the knob, and the decay doesnt change until it enters the next zone. The way you can tell you are in a new zone is by turning the knob with notes still ringing. The reverb will "reset" upon the knob's entering the next zone. The reason why UAFX did it like this is because unlike many reverb pedals, the golden Reverberator is built from real-world models. They took actual spring reverbs and mapped the decay, recreating it with super math stuff. They used three different spring tanks, and for each tank, they physically squeezed and expanded the springs so that they could map out different decay settings so that we consumers had more decay settings to choose from. For the other reverbs in the pedal e.g., plate and hall, the decay knob works more as you'd expect
