Patch a hole or tear in clothing with embroidery!

Probably a good idea to add some darning or a fabric patch before embroidering the flower, for added strength and to prevent fraying of the underlying hole. Doing it like this would be perfect for a stain, but with a hole you also want to prevent it laddering.

Depends on where the holes are. I think a bunch of flowers in the middle of the belly part of a shirt might look kind of funny. But holes that are kind of out of the center it works ❤

The whole is quite small to be covered up with such a large design. I would try fixing it first if the right color thread is available. If that doesn’t work then fabric glue to prevent fraying and cover up with something fitting. I like feathers, they’re easy and I always make a few to keep the others company :)

This is so cute! I have a shirt with tons of holes from my cat's uber sharp claws. I'm trying to embroider over them but it isnt working too well..i havent embroidered in years. This soukd be so helpful.

I sew the hole, and then I add a Decorative button over where I had fixed it. The shirt i'm wearing now has a butterfly button

Great idea; I've been using a chain stitch for patching the holes in my T-shirts in flower design. I don't have what you have ...I have fabric pencils to design on the T-shirt.
