I have a video of someone doing this to me by turning me into a sheep. I managed to get out of it briefly and hit him once before he turned me back into a sheep. Luckily my one hit was a crit which almost killed him, and as he was mining the bleed damage finished him off. So satisfying.

This is why u always sit in zerk stance, wear the horned Viking helm (same as rocket helm), and wear skull of impending doom when mining

That's basically my experience during whole classic but instead I was looking for the black lotus which is even worse.
To get it I had to get up early and do some farming 🤦‍♂️

I cannot remember whether in thorium veins has/had stone in it but as far as I remember it was possible to loot partially, leaving the stone in the vein so it looked like a thorium vein but after hammering it.. you got the stone and just the stone.
