Bootanimations have come a long way since the Android 2x days. From a looping gif like image to something like this that ends with the Android logo when boot is done. Damn nice :)

I don't have a nexus, so unfortunately i wont see this when I boot my phone, but the motorola boot animation is nothing to complain about!

correction.. its not android 6.0 but 5.2, Android M is not major update like kitkat to lollipop
