Almost every song in Hamilton give me the back chills

I have to watch this periodically, I am so in love with the way Christopher Jackson says "I know that we can win, I know that greatness lies in you"... and they won 11 Tonys. Just unbelievable.

Interesting Fact: The Pulse nightclub shooting happened the night before. That's why the cast chose to remove the muskets from the number and also why they are particularly emotional during the singing.

I feel so bad for all the plays up against Hamilton cause it's not that they weren't good, it's just ... no one stood a chance against this masterpiece

Imagine being Hamilton living in the 1700s, not knowing that one day you'll be the subject of a major global production.

Here we are in 2024, and the world's still turning upside down.

"Immigrants, we get the job done", I love Lin's smirk after this line

Back in 2022 and it still touches my heart that they made the decision not to use the prop guns because of the shooting the night before, and changed the lyrics to "weapon with my hands" instead of in. 😭

The way they shout "We won. We Won! WE WON!" is like the textbook definition of jubilation. And in the opening, when Miranda and Jackson are singing, "History has its eyes on you...." it looks to me like Lin Manual is realizing that is LITERALLY TRUE for him, now and forever more. What an amazing accomplishment and gift to the world Hamilton is.

Little did anyone know, one of the ensemble members, would go on to be nominated for best supporting actress for West Side Story!

That shot of all of them frozen, pointing the invisible guns, knowing why they didn’t have them for this performance is so chilling.

Hamilton is my comfort blanket.

My grandpa just died due to Covid and well, I’m depressed so I’m watching old Hamilton videos.

Happy Hamilton grieving days

I recommend listening to the Episode #217 of the Hamilcast Podcast where the choreographer, Andy Blankenbuehler, talks about how the moves in Yorktown is autobiographical to him and his family who was fighting their own battle this time (his daughter was fighting cancer as he was creating hamilton). It will change how you look at these dance moves and give you deeper meaning.

Hamilton became the most famous musical in the history on Broadway in New York City. I wish I can go back to 2016 and those were much good times way better then 2020s.
