I don't agree with everything they say, but I'm here to learn. So let's learn. God said to Abraham "know of a surety that your people shall go into slavery and be afflicted for 400 years. Gen. 15:13. God said " I chose Israel out of all the people of the earth as my treasured possession. Deu.7:6. God said if you do not keep my commandment, you will be cursed and will be taken on ship to a foreign country and chains will be put on you neck and feet. Deu.28:15. He said " you wll build houses but will not inhabit them, plant vineyard but not able to eat the fruit thereof, marry a wife, but another will lie with her and there shall be no power in thine hand. Your children shall be taken from you. I'm trying to understand who are these people today that God was talking about? Those people he's talking about will lose their identity, and would be called a by-word and a proverb. He says, " they are prey and hidden in prison houses. Isa. 42:22 When God told Jeremiah what would befall his people, Jeremiah became violently ill. He knew how high up his people were and to be brought down so low, made him sick.
