Actually "embalming fluid" or "formaldehyde" used to just be *slang* for PCP, which is phencyclidine, which is utterly distinct from formaldehyde or any other actual embalming agents - but so many dipshits got the wrong idea from the secondhand slang alone that now you actually see people trying to smoke those substances in earnest. About the only thing embalming agents actually have in common with PCP is that they're liquids (and PCP can also be crystals). Some folks report a high from smoking actual formaldehyde, but I mean, I'm pretty sure you get dizzy if you inhale too much freon as well, though I'm still not sure if oxygen deprivation can be properly called a high... and yeah, you might even get hallucinations. I've heard gasoline huffers describe truly extravagant, fully-immersive hallucinations. But they are still huffing gasoline for those results, so I mean... hard to recommend, yknow?

Anyway, nobody was ever supposed to smoke real embalming fluid. PCP/phencyclidine is a dissociative anaesthetic, designed for army medical use in the field back in the 40s or 50s (I forget), which was discontinued because of erratic behavior produced in its subjects during "emergent states, " i.e. as anaesthetic levels of the drug wore off and blood levels reduced to those sought after by recreational users. In other words, when people get high on PCP, they are using sub-anaesthetic doses, which is why they typically succumb to mental derangement long before any actual physical toxicity. A heavy recreational overdose would just be a routine anaesthetic dose in a clinical setting. *Actual formaldehyde, * however, is extremely toxic, does not give you zany thoughts and impulses towards violent nudity, oh and it causes cancer. Two different things altogether, now ironically interrelated by sheer ignorance in common. To put it country simple: PCP will get you gunned down by police for behavior under its effects, in response to its delusions, long before it actually kills you by overdose. Embalming fluid, on the other hand, has no special effects on your mind, and kills you by plain, simple, dose-dependent poisoning.

At the risk of sounding like Dave here, this feels like it bears mention, since no doubt some nihilistically bored 12 year old little fuck will be watching this video one day and thinking to himself (because it *will* be a little boy), "Hey, we're dissecting in science class tomorrow! Maybe I'll dip one of mom's cigarettes in the formaldehyde jar when nobody's looking! Then I can try drugs and Stacy will just HAVE to pay attention to me! Yeah, I'll try that right after the napalm thing." And that little boy should understand that smoking the dead pig fetus juice will just give you bad blotchy bits in your next chest x-ray, while the fantastical cartoon hallucinations you seek will elude you yet.

Hydro is actually just weed grown hydroponically. Pcp joints are usually called Sherm. Hyrdos means hydrocodone. But that is something Civil Protection would get mixed up.
