You don't have to buy bottles of water. Fill up empty containers: 2 liter bottles, juice bottles and empty milk jugs. Put some in your freezer now. Fill your bathtub to use as water to flush your toilet. Charge your electronics now. Have flashlights handy. Think about losing power for a few days. Good luck. Stay safe, from Florida.

I thought we in Colorado caught the start of it last night. In my town we have not experienced such rain, lightning, and thunder in a very long time. It was magnificent. Give us more.

I’m a Louisiana native and I’m here to tell y’all that if you don’t have a gas generator/GENERAC, you need to evacuate as soon as they tell you to evacuate.

Why's she got a heavy jacket on? This isn't a blizzard.

Churches should open for the homeless.

When the hurricane gets over land it COULD change direction, but the lack of humidity in the atmosphere (different than the Eastern seaboard) will mean heat energy in the storm will dissipate much quicker than a typical hurricane back East.

The homeless in San Diego will be in most trouble. The good news is no more drought for California.

Steady rain here in Quartzsite Arizona, La Paz county. Light to no wind . This is a huge relief after about 6 or 7 weeks of 110 plus weather and daily heat advisory .
It was so hot here lizards will drink water from your hand . I actualy saw a desert pack rat kick a lizard out of the shade once

🎉😢Sad to know many aren’t taking this seriously. Tropical storms can go back out into the warm water and gain strength, hitting the same areas again. That can cause even more damage, rain, death, & tornadoes. Better being prepared than not.

It’s scary. I was 5 so I wasn’t afraid at the time but I remember like it was yesterday, looking down at the tiny shore that sat inches from our front door, the yard a dark ocean lined with the top of a chained link fence
