US Ambassador crushes Trudeau claims about Roxham Road deal

In February 2023, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau insists on spreading misinformation about a solution to the issue of migrants crossing the Canadian border from New York State into Quebec at Roxham Road. With Quebec votes at stake, Trudeau pretends that his government has been deep into renegotiating the Safe Third Country Agreement with the United States as a way to close the Roxham Road crossing. In reply, David L. Cohen, United States Ambassador to Canada, says the American government has no interest in renegotiating the Agreement to solve a "symptom" of irregular migration for the Canadian government. "If you are serious about trying to deal with irregular migration, you have to deal with the underlying causes," Cohen says.

No shortage of uncivil servants in Canada either. Maybe just move 10, 000 of them to Roxham and create a wall of overpaid, over benefited, under worked employees to block the way.
