There are no flammable materials in the Cooling Towers. This is the funniest provocation in my memory. This tower consists of concrete, iron pipes with water sprayers on top (like fire sprinklers) and a water collection basin at the bottom. Where the fire was shown there was a pool of water several meters deep. 🤣

Russia should not even be occupying the plant, of course they are to blame for this

Guys, these cooling towers are solid concrete.
The only way a fire could start? Is whatever was burnt was set there.
There are NO FLAMABLE THINGS IN THE COOLING TOWERS!

Who do I believe? The nation that has unilaterally resiled from international agreements and actually has a word for official lying, or the other guy? If it’s a Russian, they’re lying. It’s axiomatic.

A fire broke out in Chernobyl reactor block 4. Russian authorities claim the situation is under control.

The most Russian thing possible is to sabotage the power plant as they withdraw, nice to see that they haven’t failed to meet expectations.

The fact that any News Service gives Russian statements any credibility at this point is maddening.

Nothing to see here other than Russia's attempt to divert attention from Ukraine's successes in Kursk.

We know what happened last time a NPP in Ukraine under "Russian control" was on fire and Russia was not talking about it. Few years later, Swan Lake was playing on TV.

ah yes the notoriously flammable materials of concrete and water. definitely able to be ignited by a shell and totally has nothing to do with the kursk nuclear plant being threatened by ukraine's advance.

Why use that heading. You don’t have to be obscenely neutral. Russia lit tyres on fire.

Russia blaming Ukraine is like blaming your wife for breaking the window you threw her through.
