Disconnected Souls comes in swinging with the video for their genre-bending song Symbiont! An intense song that represents both the bands' metal side as well as their knack for experimentation.

The bandmembers had the following to say about the track:

"Symbiont" is a track we started during the creation of our Warring Elements EP, left to wayside for years before we decided to tackle it again. With our newfound experience, I feel we did the track justice.

The idea behind Symbiont lyrically is two entities forced to work together for their own ends, bound in one body, inseparable. During the writing process, I played a character in a DnD campaign who was in a symbiotic relationship with a ghost possessing him, and that character's journey inspired the lyrics.

Instrumentally, this track is a favourite of mine from the Fragments of Consciousness album - rife with soaring synths and crushing dubstep-infused breakdowns.

We hope you enjoy the video; a grungy cellar shoot every metal band needs to film at some point - a rite of passage."
