Connor Stalions was on the sideline if this game as well (only WMU sideline guy with the grey/tan shoes and his style of shirt). Lou Esposito was the DC at WMU in 2022. Any guess as to where he coaches now (2024)? UMich

0:19 live it looked like a bad call. Replay, slow-mo, double speed, even triple fast... it's still a bad call. Defender was committed and then the QB started his slide. I'd like to see them tweak the rule just a hair though. If you are giving yourself up and wanting the QB protections, then your feet must be further forward than your knees, knees further forward then your hips. These sideways slides are just inviting injury.

We had close calls against WMU in 2013 and 2015 too, and look how those seasons turned out. I’m honestly not worried, just some first-game rust being worked out

Msu looked good tonight it did look like close game when it was 21-13 but msu pulled away at the end good win

Not gonna lie, this games was kinda disappointing and a bit scary to see. But I’m going to chalk it up to the fact the Tuck has probably been beating these boys up in practice and probably didn’t give them much rest for this game.

Lots of tough injuries for 2 of our big defensive players unfortunately.. but all in all a decent game! GO GREEN!!

Michigan State got a little sloppy in the third quarter but took care of business for the rest of the way. That defensive front is impressive GO GREEN!!!🟢⚪️

That int by Thorne changed the game and sucked the life outta Spartan Stadium. Gotta run that next time Thorne has wheels.

This game could have been a blowout. Thorne missed 2 easy TDs with a little too much on the ball. The called fumble in the 3rd really wasn’t and lead to a Western score. Then Thorne had that really dumb side arm INT. The points were there and sloppy play kept it close.

For MSU to be ranked 15 this game was way too close in the 4th quarter against a non ranked MAC team. Only up by a touchdown in the 4th is horrible
