"Jó napot kívánok" is the most formal way of "hello" in Hungarian. Which version of each sentence you use is based on the context. Also we're notorious for hiding the pronouns we use as you can see.

Fun fact: "bocs" is both an informal way to say "sorry" but also the word we use for a young bear.

As a Hungarian, I don't really think pronounciation is that hard, it's rather the grammar that would make no sense to most foreigners. Also you struggling to say goodbye at the end was perfect 👌

Duolingo Hungarian is just completely wrong grammatically. It is actually hard for me to do as a Hungarian.

hungarian here, and gotta say you actually did a great job
also "jó napot" kinda just means good day, but we use it to say hello too, and "jó napot kívánok" is a more polite way to say it, and that "kívánok" means to wish, so the whole thing means i wish you a good day
id say that the fact that there's a formal and informal way for saying stuff might be hard for foreigners
and at least "viszontlátásra" was perfect for the end, as its a formal way to say goodbye (tho most people just say szia to say bye too, viszontlátásra is a formal goodbye)
