2. Use paper to make blueprints (resources will not be a factor in this stage)
3. Discover that resources were in fact a factor.
4. Create the framework of what ever you drew up (it will only have a third of the things you planned to give it).
5. Use any paper not used in step 2 to create propaganda about Wunderwaffle

The He177 was not designed or constructed under the Wunderwaffen programm. It was simply a Bomber.

The only complaint I'm aware of regarding the wooden mosquito was that the RAF never had enough of them

The early spitfires the mosquito many yak models entire large bombers
And wooden skin was in fact often more durable than metal

Until metal processing became more efficient wood even had advantages over metal and due to ww2 being rather demanding on metal production
Wooden production lines made it possible for more aircraft

Provided that engines were available

The mosquito was allowed to be streamlined and aerodynamic for example

Its the aircraft most people point to when wood is mentioned and for a good reason

Germany towards the end of the war did not have the resources to produce all metal aircraft so they used wood and metal as a means to put out as many as they could and the wood is not even close to being the biggest issue with the he162
