Evolution, molecular ecology and environment
26 January 2022
[Time stamps are available below]
SciLifeLab is a national infrastructure within life science available for researchers in academia, healthcare, and industry. We provide access to a range of nationally unique and internationally competitive technologies in molecular biosciences that can be used to address questions in a broad range of life science disciplines.
This session will cover: multiple aspects of evolution, molecular ecology and environment
Target audience: Scientists with interest in the fields of evolution, molecular ecology and environment
SciLifeLab units presented: NGI, IMT-UmU/Cryo-EM, Bioinformatics, Microbial Single Cell Genomics, Ancient DNA, and additional units.
Time stamps
00:08 - Welcome - Magnus Lundgren, Platfrom Coordinator, Genomics Platform @SciLifeLabSweden
1:50 - Introduction to SciLifeLab Infrastructure - Olga Vinnere Pettersson, NGI/SciLifeLab
15:48 - Early Pleistocene DNA unravels the genomic histrory of mammoths - Love Dahlén, Swedish Museum of Natural History
31:50 - Using RNA Sequencing to study interaction between forest trees and root associated fungal species - Nathanial Street, Umeå University
49:40 - Evolution of Cellular Complexity in Bacteria - Siv Andersson, Uppsala University
