i5 cant keep up with all games out there, i5s choke with a game like far cry 5, i would really recomand people to get a cpu with 8 cores

Dunno might cause a geek war saying this but I disagree it really doesn't entirely matter, the clock speed of my I5 3600 was 4.20 and my i5 3200x was 3.70 but it seemed to handle throttling threading and clocking better then the ' upgrade ' so after that I decided to based my ' upgrade ' on other qualities then ghz and over all I ain't going back to judging based on its clock speed anymore its just 40% of what makes a good CPU
