I honestly use both, and I can not choose one over the other. My everyday use, they both have pros and cons. The imessage excuse is just an excuse. imessage does nothing any different than change bubble color. To me, Apple is more like a fashion statement to most in the U.S. They use apple because thats what is in style. If famous people were all to start using Android, then you would see a lot of U.S. people using Android. At the end of the day, in my opinion, it boils down to preference.

In my opinion, and this is coming from someone who actually sells these phones to the public. The only reason why people really stick to Apple is two things, iMessage, & the stupid belief that the iPhone is way more easier to use than android.

Honestly, I'd argue pixel is easier to use than iPhone. My grandma switched from iPhone to Pixel and seems to understand it a lot better. No more questions about how to use her phone:) Especially since all the Google features are built in and you don't need to download Gmail or chrome or YouTube or drive or docs. It's just built in and ready to use.

Honestly, genuinely, someone can explain to me how an iPhone is easier to use than an Android 🤔

For me (and the majority of my entourage), the fact of not having a universal back button and a real file manager is already too complex, incongruous 🤷🏽‍♂️

7-8 years ago you could have talked about application optimization, now it's 2023.

And regarding updates, I'd rather have an Android with Android 6-7 on which I can use all the apps than have an iPhone with iOS 13-14 on which WhatsApp and others do not work.

And regarding the ecosystem Samsung and Huawei do the same, and Samsung's ecosystem is much broader than Apple's without being a jail.

The day, iOS will have a universal back button, and a real file manager, we can open a debate.

🙏🏽

Pricing is a huge factor, consumers are paying a premium price for a fancy camera and iMessage where android premium price tags are actually justified being so feature packed

For apps you shld include the fact that we can install apks and modded versions of apps on Android which are way better than the native apps on iOS or android

My main gripe is apple not having copy and paste history

You guys seems to not understand how android app development works, you absolutely do not need to develop for individual type and sizes of android. If you use the right constraints and layouts, the android IDE does that in the background and you have the opportunity to check how it would look in each format of android.
Additionally most of these apps that are better on ios are American and because their market base is mostly ios, it makes sense that they start with that first. In other markets though, that's a different story

I have both apple and android. iPhone 14 pm, iPad m1 12.9, iPad mini 6, apple watch ultra, pixel 7 pro, fold 4, tab s8 ultra and watch 6 classic 47mm. I have all of these devices currently. I love them all except pixel 7 pro. I just couldn’t love it, like I do my other devices. Had the pixel watch and sent it back because it was too small. If it wasn’t for my family having apple devices I’d probably wouldn’t have it as my primary devices.

In all of these except for ecosystem, my preference leans towards Android. Yes, even ease of use. I like having that universal back gesture and typing on an iPhone makes me want to throw it out the window.

Not even SwiftKey or Gboard fully fixes things. Besides their iOS versions being worse than their Android versions, iPhones still revert to the stock keyboard for certain things like entering passwords. The iOS calculator sucks too compared to even the Google's very basic one, let alone Samsung or Xiaomi's.

As for ecosystem, I have that very low on my list of priorities. I actively try to avoid being locked into any one company's ecosystem. I have an S23 Ultra and Tab S9 but I also have a Lenovo tablet. I have a Pixel Fold and Pixel Watch but only because it came included. I would otherwise have been fine with my Fitbit. And before that, I used a Surface Duo 2.

The Samsung Galaxy SII has an Android 13 rom available for it, that's eleven years of software support. Sure that's not all from Samsung but it's there. The iPhone of the time, the 4s, is stuck on iOS 9 which was released in 2015. I know a lot of people wouldn't want to mess around with custom roms and would find buying a new phone to be far easier, but it's an option that should be presented when doing iPhone vs Android videos, as it actually gives the edge in software support to the Android side of things.

Ecosystem wise I find the Android side of things to be better but not because of the integration, simply because it will work on both. For example I have a Galaxy Watch and I can use it on Android or iOS. My friend can't use his Apple Watch on Android though, which limits his future options because if he wanted a Android phone he's have to buy a new smart watch as well.

I love but also absolutely hate that a lot of apple’s strength is in their locked ecosystem. Like if you ONLY have an iPhone you’re missing a huge chunk of the experience. For me the only reason why I use an iPhone is because of the “it works smoothly 100% of the time” factor. Every other aspect I like android more but in the end, I’d rather own a plain car that I know will work every time I turn it on vs a super car that won’t

I'm not really sure about the ease of use category. I have both Apple and Google and I think Google is just as easy to use as Apple. Particularly once you have your Google device set up the way you want it. I rarely ever change anything on my Google phone after the initial setup.

They both have their pros & cons. I have TONS of Androids from the G1 to the Note 20. Went to the Apple side ‘22 & it’s been dope. Love beta testing, great customer support, the community, video quality

I agreed with marques video but i know very few people who have the option to switch between phones. Typically there's one reason that gulfs everything else in why you used what you used. I know a number of people who have large families, including elderly, living off FaceTime and getting your entire family to switch to another video app is a bit unrealistic. Or, in my case, my main number is Google voice (for over a decade now) which only Android integrates properly so unless i want to give that up, it's not an option for it. I'm also a big fan of emulators which also aren't supported on ios. Some people are also forced to use one, usually ios, because of work.

I dont think it's fair to compare ecosystems switching between Google and Samsung to represent Android. It should be Google vs Apple or Apple vs Samsung. If comparing Apple and Samsungs ecosystems they are right on par with features and devices with samsung having even more devices like smart washers, dryers, vacuums, refrigerators, monitors, tvs, etc. Samsung destroys Apples ecosystem respectively. If you know you know.

Great review as always question where did you get that wallpaper for the iPhone?

Apple has the smoothest ecosystem because there's zero features! 😆 They also aggressively kill everything in the background.
