Hours-long standoff with murder suspect in East Central Spokane ends
Показать описание
An hours-long standoff between a wanted man and the Spokane Police Department is over.
Officers say it started just before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday when they got a call about Henry Ziegler being in the area. Police say they found him, but then he ran off. They set up a perimeter and continued looking for him.
Ziegler then barricaded himself in a house near the corner of Seventh and Stone. Police say he was the only one inside the home at the time.
Officers said they used “noise distraction devices” to try and get him to come out. SWAT eventually broke down the door. Ziegler surrendered peacefully at about 8:10 p.m.
Police say he has a warrant for second-degree murder. Officers say he is connected to a shooting that happened on Sunday.
