I'm more of a boxing guy myself but thanks to guys like Anderson Silva, Rampage, and McGregor, I've become a fan of mma as well. The one thing I see many mma people say is, "boxing is very limited, u only have to defend against punches so it's easier than mma", while that does make sense from a defensive aspect, you seem to overlook the offensive aspect, in boxing you have only your punches, you can't kick, elbow, knee, choke, so your offensive weapons are extremely limited compared to mma, in that sense, boxing is more difficult, you have to be extremely skilled with your hands.

Boxing isn't fighting it's a silly agreement, "we're both mad at each other and we're going to fight about it, oh but we're only going to use our hands. " Boxing isn't even the most effective form of striking. MMA is what you would see in a fight if people had skills in many disciplines.
