If you have ever felt so discouraged that you despaired even of life, you are not alone. That’s exactly what Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 1. Hardships had taken a toll on Paul, and he felt despondent. Yet he revealed his secret to “suffering well” and wrote about God’s comfort in the midst of his afflictions. This is such an important and timely message. Like you said Pastor Gary, God can use tough times in our lives to help us see where we need him more and to strengthen our faith and purify us. Our eternal rewards are in heaven, but until then, we as Christians should never let an opportunity pass by without trying to help others. Never let a painful situation go to waste. He uses all situations in our lives, good and bad, for his glory.

I have had this on my heart and mind for a very long time. I worship with you from Benton, AR, and even though I'm not there, I would love to sing along, but I don't know the music. It would be a tremendous ministry, especially for your older members, to have a hymn sing. Once a month or quarterly during the Wednesday night Bible study, sing the old hynms of our faith. I, for one, would never miss the chance to sign the hymns that were such a huge part of my Christian life.

I feel like God is isolating my right now, but thankfully I have a good church locally. After coming out of transgenderism 2 years ago, it has been impossible getting back into the world to even work and function. I am trusting in HIM right now, because I know He will be with me.
