A Lantern

A curled cat
On a firewood box
A comforting warmth
Is coming from the stove

Still water to the sauna
I carry firewood to the corner
I let the longing sneak quietly

I lit a lantern when it gets dark
I lift it to a hook on the porch
Maybe the light can be seen far in the dark
And maybe it leads you to the path
