What if Karts could Rocket Boost?!

Mario Kart Retro Rewind added new features to Karts with not only inside drift but also purple MT chain boosting allowing for Karts to break away from bikes easier than ever before.

This one's a little late, thanks for waiting everyone! In the recent update, Kart mini turbo duration was nerfed so this "PRB" style snaking isn't as effective

Buncha users already pointed this out, but dang! Mario Kart with CTR's Blue Fire and Reserves system is such a fun concept. The Crash karting series is most likely my favorite because of how mechanically engaging the drift system is, with the rhythmic button presses and boost chaining

This is a very cool mechanic that Nintendo should look at. It’s kind of like Crash Team Racing’s blue fire

I feel like the best way to balance the purple mini turbos would be to decrease the amount of speed they give you, but also increase the speed in which you gain purples. That would nerf them on the simple tracks that they currently dominate on, and buff them on the complicated tracks where they struggle to get purples.

So it's basically like how it works in CTR, where you keep the speed of the boost pad while doing miniturbos
