I just subscribed. I had a possum bite on my shin which got infected & went thru 2 years of daily dressing changes, weekly visits to Wound Care Specialist & MANY Antibiotics > Now I'm left with healed scar measuring aprx. 4" × 8". I was discharged from Specialist Care last Sept. & wondering about after-care (I'm "on my own" & don't know what to do to protect & prevent recurrence or damage). I hope you can help advise, Thank you.

I don't know anything about social media, so I can't help. I have scraped my ankle on the front with a defective porch and if I remove the grayish skin, gauges and wrap. Do I buy a antibiotic to cover it. I am am 63 and active and this hurts.
