In this video, I show you two different oxygen supplies in EMS. You will use these oxygen supplies commonly as an EMT. Nasal cannula and non-rebreather masks are both used in EMS to help oxygenate patients.

We select which device based on the severity of vitals signs, signs and symptoms. The goal is to achieve a pulse oximetry number above 94% for our EMS patient. I look forward to seeing your EMS education success.

Be Great,

Evan, The Paramedic Coach

Hey I know this is completely unrelated to this video but could you do a video on vascular ehlers-danlos syndrome please? I have Veds, and find most emts and paramedics don't know anything about it. And unfortunately with Veds, ems and emergency departments are often the first to deal with complications that arise from it. Not much can be done for it in the field but recognizing that major vascular complications can and do happen in 20 year Olds in the setting of conective tissue disorders saves lives.
