Shui Tianyang: Ideas on Art, Food, and Life (Part 2 of 3)

Shui Tianyang is inspired by philosophers, psychologists and architects. She believes what’s behind the work, the deliberation, is more significant than skills you can see on canvas. Her diverse experiences have been valuable for The Armory Show since last year, where she has been providing assistance to VIP clients. When it comes to art-related activities she involves herself in many aspects.
Her love for art initially drove her to the art of plating, then food itself, because according to her, food is one of the very few activities where one can combine all of our five senses. That’s how she got idea for TMTMenu, a distinctive restaurant guide and grading-system she co-founded with Monique Chen.
