Explanation: so basically there's a glitch in minecraft where if you fall if a specific manner you'll glitch up onto the block above, this can only happen with a block underneath the player

He went up 2 blocks because when a player takes damage, they can actually get boosted up blocks. He took the damage from landing on the tnt. Skip the tutorial explains it in some video I forgot

He placed the tnt a block below the top block there’s no way because there is only a split frame where it counts as a block and after that the block becomes incorporeal and has no chance of surviving. Plus he shows the clip in slow motion too giving more evidence towards it being that he landed on the wood
