The sound of machinegun fire is so satisfying

I had no idea this vidoe of me was on here. This was 2 years ago for me on a training rotation to Germany(my first). To answer some questions i see on here, for one what im doing with my hands is measuring degrees from my barrel to the maneuvering element(30 for bipod 15 for tripod). The 1000 2000 count you hear is seconds between bursts. Yes i was inexperienced and as a pvt i was put on the gun because i qualified expert, i was an AB(ammo bearer) but our actual gunner sucked and only qualed 2nd class so they threw me on. The reason you see a bfa on there and then without one is because we do two itierations of the live fire, any unsafe acts in blank run we will not be allowed to go on to live. And yes the position sucked, courtesy of range control.

as an ex soldier i can tell you guys one thing .. ``machine gun fire is so god damn Loud.. i think this video doesnt really show just how crazy and intense the noise of live fire is .. the eardrums can almost burst . it can literally drive men crazy

The weapon is a beast, it's about as big of a machine gun you can man-carry, though I'm partial to the 249, I love them both. It is a monster though.

The M240 is based on the MAG 58 so this gun came from some very good breeding. The 240 has been around for awhile now as our GPMG it has been proven very reliable easy to maintain and was 18 steps over the top of the M60 which I hear of a company now that has finally gotten that mess to be at least semi-reliable with intense maintenance! But then the M60 was built in the US the 240 is built by FN!

folks, go back and listen to vids of the LasVegas shooting and it sounds just like this. two different weapons firing simultaneously or nearly so. one like the weapon in the distance which has a faster firing rate but lighter sound and then one exactly like the chunky-heavy sound of the 240. In fact every military guy commenting on those lasvegas vids that shot the 240 (or the M60) swears that is one of the guns firing.
