I love white gel pens, especially with Kraftcard, which is my opinion is not used often enough!

My go to items: 1) Favorite Journal with pages that can handle minimum bleeding. If so...just collage on that side. 2) Distress color pads because that ink is water soluble 3) Stencils. 4) Stamps 5).Collage with favorite clips of designs from magazines, calendars, whatever using glue stick to adhere. Also use ephemera items to highlight a page. I have completed 3 journals and use them as "meditation books" because many have amazing quotes. I also use personal memories and incorporate them into a journal layout....really an amazing way to recreate and enjoy the variety that art journaling offers! I also follow many of the experts in this field! Tim Holtz, Jane Davenport, Dina Wakely, and many more. Always learning!!!

My essential stash for art journaling would be a Stabilo All pencil in black, Archival Ink pad in black, plain masking tape, stencils, acrylic paints. Those things are a part of almost everything I do in my art journal.

Bonjour France en quelques mots je suis à la recherche de techniques donc je m’équipe petit à petit et - là ho merveille - je viens d’acheter des neocolors que je ne quitte plus. Les pochoirs sont aussi pour moi une source d’inspiration avec du gesso que je met sur chaque page. Je travaille à l’acrylique mais aussi à l’aquarelle. Et grâce à toi j’ai découvert la chalky peinture que je vais utiliser régulièrement c’est sur. Je ne suis pas très équipée en tampon et je découvre les encres mais je pense qu’il n’y a pas besoin de 10000 choses pour faire de jolies pages. Merci pour tes vidéos du lundi qui pour moi sont une vraie source d’apprentissage. A bientôt.

Mine would be stencils, medium body acrylic paints, cutouts and painted papers (with glue sticks), paint- and permanent-markers (esp. Uni Posca), my Gelli plate (and, necessarily, a softer brayer). Fascinating to see yours. Thanks for sharing!

Hello darling, my list top 5 are....crackle paste, stencils, stamps, fluid acrylics and antiquing cream. And all of this need a good journal.

I am a big fan of using pens in my journaling, mostly black fineliners and white pens. So my list would be pens, gesso, acrylic paint, matt medium, texture paste/modeling paste. You are so right about phases, I tend to use the same thing over and over utill the next favorite comes along.

My essentials are gesso ( multiple uses, texture, paint mixer, knock back provider), gel medium, stencils, chalk paint & Stabilo marks all black pencil. If I could pick 6 then it would be background stamps. 😁

am loving using chalk pastels and gesso, my new obsession. masking tape is very important, especially for joining journal covers and spines; very flexible and strong. brusho pigments are ace! i also adore pebeo fantasy paints and discovered today they can have colour added with alcohol markers. love your videos, thank you xxx

I love working with water soluble colouring and graphite pencils, matte acrylic medium by liquitex as an adhesive and a sealant and colourex inks. There’s a pot of chalky emulsion that’s seeing a good bit of action too especially with knife and brayer.

They do make oil pastels that are water soluble.
