North Korea rolls out red carpet for Russia's Shoigu

Russia plans to work more closely with North Korea on defence after Sergei Shoigu travelled to Pyongyang.

Mr Shoigu, the Russian defence minister, said: “I am convinced that today’s talks will contribute to strengthening cooperation between our defence departments.”

He headed the delegation to North Korea to mark the 70th anniversary of the Korean War and the struggle against the United States and its allies.
