Doesn’t this game now determine what pot we are in for the World Cup? I would personally like as strong a lineup as possible, with the bench only being used to improve our overall performance.

Looks like Canada in pot 3 if they win, knocking Tunisia into pot 4. Given that, I want the best lineup to start.

Imagine going back to Sept 3. after our opening draw with Honduras and saying:
don't worry, Canada will qualify with a game to spare, highly likely to finish FIRST and beat US + Mexico at home. Oh and we'll do this with Phonzie missing for half the games!

That's honestly astounding.
As for the game, hoping to see the likes of Millar, Ugbo, Crepeau get the start and the chance to really stake their claim to in the WC squad itself. That's what the rest of the year should be about really, everybody on the fringes has a point to prove if they wanna be on that plane.

Really unfortunate that Panama slipped up towards the end, . I would of loved to see them and Costa Rica fight to the final matchday for the 4th place spot.

Now that Canada is qualified, I finally have a team to genuinely support at the upcoming world cup :)

I ran the probabilities using betting odds, and the simulations from We Global Football, and I put our chance of pot 3 at about 32%. That's not bad considering most of the results haven't gone our way.

Time to give the bench players a run. I want to see ugbo and kone get 90 min, also hoping millar has a good performance

I think Canada has a good chance at Pot 3, there are quite a few teams from 11 to 32 that either won't make the world cup, or will be involved in pending playoff games and will therefore be in Pot 4 by default...

My score prediction is a 1-1 draw, Canada will play relaxed knowing the job is done and Panama has nothing to play for anymore except for pride.

Would love to see some of the not so common players get a chance at some minutes during panama. I think it will still be a hard fought game between the two nations and a good sending off to what has been an amazing international play!

Dunno about the strategy, Stan. Yes, Canada is Q and Panama is E but Canada still has World Ranking to play for as getting into Pot 3 instead of Pot 4 is massive. I actually see Canada wanting this more than Panama
