'Wolves' is the story of Josh, a sixteen year-old boy from a small town in the English countryside. Living alone with his father with whom he has a complex and often confrontational relationship, Josh finds refuge and solace in the nearby woods where he spends his time drawing and catching bugs; and it is in this forest that a mysterious encounter will pave the road to self-discovery.

WOLVES is a short film written and directed by Fuoco Maria Balduzzi, starring Roly Botha, Jay Walker and Ryan Davies.

Really good film. Especially poignant is the difference between the silent loving touches of the two boys, versus the angry loud yelling of the father and son. In the end, the father and son console in silence. Both have lost love. Nicely done!!! Part II please!

I hope they make a full movie out of this. Amazing story/concept and acting. As a survivor of physical/mental/sexual abuse from childhood to adult this brought back so many emotions. I am Native American/Spanish. It was very hard and still there are moments but I have survived. Thankfully my family came around and we are in a more understanding loving place

This moved me there is so much this short movie is saying I watched it 3 times and each time I had different two boys were superb in their roles...Balduzzi is a master to put together a short movie that tells a wonderful story

What a wonderful and insightful movie ! Indeed, that was well played and the photography is superbe.
My interpretation is : the wood boy was running away from an abuser (maybe sexual abuse) and has escaped from him as soon as he could, so that's why he was almost nude, alone in the forest. The relation between Josh and his father has been complicated since his mom left ; the father is trying to make contact with his son to see how he handles it but Josh is cloistered in his malaise, anger and sadness. When he found the wood boy, they both found each other and gave each other tenderness, warmth and comfort, protected by their timeless bubble of innocence...
I don't make predictions on the following events 'cause if the director didn't want to show more of the story, there's probably a good reason.

Both boys exhibited such tender, raw emotion. I felt so deep for each of them and both of them. My heart broke for them at the end. It seems wrong that Josh couldn't go with him as a comfort to help in the next steps.
My hope would be that the father would move toward keeping them close to each other, maybe even foster Blaine.

We worry at the end what will happen with the wild one. He hadn't managed to clothe himself warmly without Josh's help. So, he wasn't making it on his own and is probably better off back in civilization. All together, his wildness, lack of language, and lack of survival skills seem contradictory. Still, an interesting film.

That was a brilliant story, beautifully acted and set, totally enthralling from beginning to end, so many different poignant reflections running through it. Loved the humane pauses when they were with one another just contemplating one another's scenarios.

Stunning! Charming! Mesmerizing! Hauntingly Beautiful! The actors were amazing, quite brilliant. Great Location, awesome cinematography. Applause to everyone involved! It's all about instincs, trust, and love. Interesting, Wolves and Humans are not so different.
For me, it stirred many emotions.
