Fantastic Journey on-ride HD POV Wonderland Amusement Park

This ghost train/dark ride was built and designed entirely in house by Paul Roads, the founder of Wonderland. The ride originally had an interior and exterior dip. The interior dip was taken out and the exterior dip was modified to a much milder form years later. Wouldn't it be so much better if the park added some audio effects?
Wonderland Amusement Park is located in Amarillo, Texas.

Effects and music would help. Many family friendly parks tend to down grade the scariness even though it's what kids hope to see. I do love the old school feel and glad that some of these are still around. I miss the one of my youth that like the classic pretzels had dark stretches so that when the corny stunts popped out of the pitch black accompanied by a buzzer or a bell you really got startled.

Looks like pretty fun haunted house ride. Especially for one built in house. That first effect with the rings around the track was a great way to start it off. I wonder how they did that? The rest of the ride was fun too.

Ppl saying worst ride ever and stuff u guys need to be on the ride it's so fun and the dark makes it more scarier plus it does have effects u just can hear them well in the video !!!! I've gone every 3 days in a year! In fact I'm going on Saturday

Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane. I was disappointed that it appears they got rid of the day glo Reapers going around on bikes; it was my favorite as a kid.

I lived in Amarillo in the 70s and 80s, and as I recall Fantastic Journey had a LOT more sound effects (including music and ambience) in those days than is evident in this video.  The video doesn't really do it justice.  I am sad to learn they took out the dips.

The reason I’m watching this is because i had my ears plugged and my eyes closed and hiding behind my two friends backs the whole time lol and my other one was doing the same thing but one of them was a risk taker lol 😂

There was one almost identical to it in Tulsa at Bells Amusement Park called "Phantasmagoria"

I'm not getting a really good sense of this ride. To me it seems like a bunch of unnecessary things put together. Music can really add dimension and drama to a ride if done correctly but this ride lacks music causing it to seem bland and forgettable. One ride that does a great job implementing both music and props is the Haunted Mansion located at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA.

This video doesn’t do this ride justice,
Due to the lack of music and effects the silence with the sound of the cart paired with the visuals gives off a almost nightmarish vibe. It looks corny on video but it’s very surreal in person.
