2019 Spiel Haul Unboxing and Discussion Extravaganza! Part 2 of 3

Whether you attending Spiel or not, we have got you covered! Heavy Cardboard picked up what is arguably the best mix of hot and highly anticipated games as well as a number of obscure and esoteric titles that were on display during this year's fair. We brought these back all for the purpose of showing them to you, both here on YouTube in our play-through videos, as well as over on the podcast.

Over the next year, we'll be bringing you most, if not all, of these games! So sit back, relax, and check out the first of what is to be at least two live-streams showing what you can expect over the next bunch of months! If you only have WiF Classic, you can't play the 1936-1947 "Days of Decision" campaign. It requires the "Days of Decision III" game.
Also - the actual setup for the "Victory in the West" scenario is in the spread sheet in the back of the Play book.
The secret to the rule book reading is that the air-system is orthogonal to the sequence of play. You might even want to read the air-rules first, before you go through all the different steps of the action phase.
Also: There's secret information wrt. US entry and other border garrisons. It's not necessarily easy to solo.

I was thinking of Clef when Edward said he really disliked Lorenzo Il Magnifico, and then Clef was in the chat! Pumping that game whenever he gets the chance!

WOW! ... You bought World-in-Flames?!?!
I was just skipping through the start of this video, thinking that "yeah... still no wargames" and then WHAT
This might just make me join the herd if you pull it of.

But seriously ... I think there's only 1 scenario you can realistically play in a few hours (The case yellow, invasion of France scenarios). But it doesn't really reflect the feeling of the full game.
The true WiF experience requires if not the full campaign, then at least one of the theaters 1939-1945.
However... don't be afraid of the rules. Once you've figured out how they are organized and how the game turn flow is, the game plays really smoothly. It's not as complex as it's rumor.
