The NEW Zig-Zag topwater bait!

The topwater bite just got wilder. The new Zig-Zag from Bill Lewis is designed to be tied on in front of a walking bait, mimicking an even smaller baitfish being chased and adding another layer of realism to the presentation.

“The Zig-Zag is a new take on an old, proven design,” says Bill Lewis pro Cliff Crochet. “The unique Zig-Zag goes before your favorite topwater bait and creates an irresistible, natural food chain scenario. The action is effortless, attractive, and doubles your chances of getting bit.”

The Zig-Zag, available in multiple colors, comes equipped with a feathered treble hook for maximum hookup rate. Available at retailers nationwide.

Around 15 years ago I ran a setup with 2 Norman front runners in front of a big spook. I was on schooling fish and caught multiple doubles and triples that day... great sneaky way to catch more but an old bait turned new! I think my coangler for the day thought I was crazy when I told him if I get 2 or 3 fish on at the same time net the biggest! 😂👍🔥

Think a mini popper with no back hook would work the same?

can we get one with a prop in the back?

Might be a “new” bait but the front runner was out years ago.. there was a reason it went away…

Another hook to hook you when you catch that 12” pike/snake 😂

Two baits double the bite? Does 3 triple it? What does 4 do?

Same concept as the teaser fly which has been used since the dawn of time haha.

Holy cow people, they’re introducing it as a new bait in their line. He literally says it’s old school in the video. Calm down

I'd take off the hook from the Zig-Zag... it's one less worry about snagging anything in its path, especially myself.

I bet this would work good on sea trout and blue fish .

Two things. As mentioned, that is a copy of the Front Runner which I have half a dozen of. Secondly, one must be careful not to violate the 3 hook rule some circuits like the BFLs have. I have used my Front Runner with a jerkbait but had to remove either the middle jerkbait hook or the Front Runner hook to stay legal (see BFL rule on A-rigs)

I agree with earlier comment, it’s not new. I don’t have a problem reintroducing it but be honest about it.

Front runner lol people who catch little fish it's great, but if you tournament fish for big ones you'll find out why it sucks. If you think you can catch two four pounders on at the same time without losing one you're in lala land.
