Its architecture is the epitome of the Scottish Baronial style – with its fairy-tale turrets and crenelations. It’s here in the 1840s that Queen Victoria first fell in love with the beauty of the Scottish Highlands.

Oh, Julie, THANK YOU for helping those of us who can’t “travel” be able to do so! I enjoy both of your Channels and have learned so much. I have a Scottish background through my Mother’s maternal Grandfather & she remembers the way he spoke. He was from Paisley, Scotland and I love the sound of the Pipes. I was in floods of tears when H. M. Queen Elizabeth II’s Piper was planning “Sleep, dearie, Sleep” at the end of her Funeral. Again, thank you for helping us to educate ourselves about you new home.

Thank you Julie for showing me how a Duke would entertain his Queen and Friends with real Scottish Hospitality.

Wow, Julie, weren’t you and your team just pinching yourselves feeling so lucky to see the attics and the treasures they held? I think it must never get old. I know it’s your work, of course, but what a privilege!

My goodness ... You do such an amazing job with this series. It's so professionally done, as if it were a BBC or American PBS production . Julie, you're such a natural at this AND you are doing your bit to raise and maintain interest in preserving these grand Estates by encouraging visitors. Congratulations on a job well done..

I could watch someone go through the attic as a series just to point out what they have. To them it's probably just old stuff but to me it's history just sitting there!!! I loved it.

Bertie is a great host. The plasterwork in the house boggles the mind.

So nice of Sarah Troughton to recall her memories of Kitty Atholl, Duchess of Atholl, married to the 8th Duke, born Katharine Ramsay of Bamff from nearby Bamff House.

My wife and I visited Blair Castle back in 2012 and enjoyed the experience immensely. Her ancestry is half Scottish, so she felt right at home where ever we went. She would move to Pitlochry tomorrow, if we weren't old. We would recommend that anyone travelling to Scotland take the time to visit this amazing place.

Very clever to include the clothing they wore.

Thank you so much for showing this castle. My maternal Great Grandparents came to Canada from Blair Atholl in the 1890's so this location is very interesting to me. However, I highly doubt they were ever inside this castle but I'll just dream a little.

So good! I wasn't ready for it to end. I could wander and explore for days in those attic rooms.

Visited beautiful Scotland back in April 2023. Visited and toured Blair Castle. My mother is a direct decendant of Viscount John Graham, Bonnie Dundee who was killed in the battle of Killicrankie and buried for a time at the church on Blair Castle Estate. I was amazed at how small John Graham's armor and helmet were. It wasn't thick or strong enough to stop a bullet from penetrating it. A very beautiful Castle and grounds!

Oh, wow. In 1998 I attended a Scottish country dance formal ball at Blair Atholl. We didn't see much of the house; mainly the ballroom, the ladies' lounge/restroom, and the corridors leading to those two places. The things that stood out the most to me were the decor, consisting largely of antlers and weapons. If I ever get back to Scotland I'd love to see more of the place.
