Joel Osteen & The Pelagian Heresy

The Bible teaches that man is sinful and that there is none righteous, no not one. Joel Osteen rejects that and teaches that man is basically good.

I'd rather say Joel is a semi-Pelagian, rather than a full blown Pelagian. This is because he rejects sinless perfecionalism. He believes that we have to be helped by God's grace to get us what we want in this life but we have the ability to first get to that grace ourselves.
As a classical Arminian, I believe that man by himself is totally depraved and must first receive God's prevenient grace in order to be able to choose whether or not to follow Christ.
