In our Science & Chemistry class, both classrooms united to study the effects of pesticides on our fruits & vegetables both Nonorganic and Organic. Students brought in produce of their choices and were asked to clean them. Students used everything from distilled vinegar, baking powder & baking soda, some used salt soaks and lemon juice, some used food grade hydrogen peroxide, while others used store bought produce cleaners and some used basic water with a natural soap. Everything was wiped cleaned and then tested for pesticides. The levels before washing were extremely high as in toxic for Nonorganic and only fair for store bought Organic.

Washing removed around 86% from the Nonorganic and 94% from the Organic. That's good right -WRONG! After exposing both produces under heat, the chemicals didn't cook out of the food, they changed and magnified in strength by mixing with the produces natural chemical makeup and high temp exposure and still showed unsafe levels. The Organic was far safer versus the Nonorganic but not everyone can afford Organic fruits & vegetables. The only food that showed 98% safe levels was the fruits and veggies grown indoors, under lighting in out safe lab, that was exposed to zero chemicals except that found in nature. This is a very good example as to why the world is sick with so many illnesses and cancers, we are literally eating ourselves to death with the food we are buying today!.... 😞
