Build your own Automated Photo Booth for less than hiring one. I'll show you how. (If you have access to a DSLR). You can customise the housing to suit your event/wedding and as it's controlled by an Arduino Nano you don't need anyone to 'man it' throughout the night. 👇 More info below 👇

The guests just press the giant arcade button and the photo booth guides them through their own photoshoot sequence. :)

List of items used in this project and where to find them:

■ A shutter release cable for your SLR camera - I've built and tested this photo booth with a Canon camera.
■ Breadboard or some perforated board - I’ll show you how to connect everything together using either one.

(As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. This helps to pay for the next project.)

For the housing
■ Some wooden panels Some screws Paint and other materials for decoration.

These are some of my favorite tools I use and can recommend:

I just finished the wiring, and everything is working great. Now it's time to move onto the housing! :) Thank you for this tutorial. You helped my fiance and I save a ton of money on our wedding! :)

This is so helpful! I’m gonna do the wiring first and then the board programming work. Later do the platform or stand for the camera to sit on. Amazing work! Keep doing these videos!

Very cool project, thank you for that. Just did the wiring and programming and worked almost from the start. Now I need to build the case.

Very nice construction - and a very good and thorough walk-through! I really like the fact you covered both types of circuit boards. Great job!

Having the breadboard and perfboard instructions is great in the video to be able to have options :-)

A nice expansion to this would be linking it to upload to Twitter or another platform.

Nice idea :) I’m going to give this a try, but I think I’m going to try to minimise the size of the booth by leaving the camera out of the enclosure. I guess it’s safer to have it enclosed but for the use I intend to give it, it will be fine.
Thanks again 👍🏼

I really like your build and video. I may take some of your design ideas to create something similar.

I rented a Penthouse for NYE 2021 in San Francisco. Now the task is to build a photo booth for cheap. Also I’m thinking of using the twilio Api to text people who input details with a num pad or keyboard.

Just had a thought of allowing people to input their details and then throughout the party facial recognition will text or email them the photo. That way if their to drunk, it’s all good

Clever idea! I've made the electronics part on a breadboard - it itakes pictures and seems to work fine that way - and the display works...just the display 'tiles' are in the reverse order for me. So 'SMILE!' is 'E! IL SM'. Please could I have some advice? Thanks

Wow what a nice proyect!!! I was wondering: would it be possible to connect it to a printer so it prints the photo in the same place, like a professional photobooth?

Great Video, thanks. How can I display the heart or the arrows?

I think there is a typo at 10:30 : The red wire labeled "Shutter plate (top)" should be labeled "Shutter plate (bottom)"
Otherwise I love your channel, you're awesome ! Thank you a lot for your work !!

This is a great video. Is your giant arcade button mount available? The link didn't work for me.
