The real reason Gwen is saying this is because she wrote this song as a clap back to Courtney Love, who at the time told every one Gwen’s then husband Gavin Rossdale, (now ex) was cheating on her their whole relationship, sleeping around and Courtney was someone he slept with. Gwen released hollaback basically saying I’m not even going to respond to that because she believed it was a lie. Now fast forward to what Gwen knows now about her ex husband, she realizes Courtney Love was in fact telling the truth all along. I’m sure it’s painful and she feels dumb now. She shouldn’t though, it’s still a killer song. Much love to Gwen ❤️

She's 55, and apparently a vampire. I was a teenager when "Don't Speak" came out, and "Hollaback Girl" came out 21 years ago. I'm 44 now, and this is a big WTF moment for me. She looks like she hasn't aged a day.

I am 39 yo, first concert when I was 10, 29 years ago was No Doubt w/ Weezer and the Luna Chicks. First band that I listened to that was not from my parents gen, or influenced by what I heard growing up, in any shape or form. Gwen and ND got me into punk/ska, which got me into hardcore which got me into metal and where I am now, just listening to all types of alternative heavy music…tysm ND and Gwen - you just do not age!

I was late on the No Doubt/Gwen Stefani train...but after hearing the songs on her earlier albums, "Holla Back Girl" felt like the whole world lurched to a stop for a second and everyone got thrown about 10 feet over. Thats how different it was from everything she'd done to that point.
