Tangy Midge

Fished this on the let out below Abiquiu Dam on 3-20-2016 and had a great time.

Materials
Hook – Size 16 (Caddis)
Body – Tangerine Orange (Coats & Clark Color 7840)
Rib – Orange (Coats & Clark Color 462)
Flash – Polar Flash
Gills/Thorax – Orange Dubbing
Head – Copper Bead

Don't worry about having the exact material, everything in this pattern can be modified or swapped out. It's a dark orange body, almost matching rib, some flash for wing buds, and some dubbing for the thorax or gills. A red bead also works well but use what you have at hand. Red, olive, and orange seem to be very productive on the river below Abiquiu.
