Coming out of Compton, California Roddy Ricch combines introspective rhymes and melodic trap. My father got killed in a police shootout in one of his dope houses at 25 a couple of months before I was born. My mother died of pancreatic cancer at 44. My grandmother on my mother's side got shot to death at 47 by her boyfriend when he was in a drug rage. I'm one of the few left in my family. Life is short...make the most of it.
