This was all wonderful advice. I like when collectors give advice videos because everyone has their own interesting unique ways and It helps the community. I would say plastic game covers for all games are great pricy but some places you can find many for cheap. The plastic see through at times you can find hard ones which cost more but makes for better protection. Thank you for sharing. Cool video. ^_^

i’ve been a female gamer since age 8 now 41 i’ve only ever bought games i would play, with high ps5 prices lately i’ve started buying older games i missed out that i’ve always wanted to play.This week i got yoshi’s island ds, tr legend ds (as back in the day i stupidly bought the advance version) and crash bandicoot 3 as back in the day dad got me a fake copy of a mate at his workplace this was back in the 90s craze of chipping your ps1.I hate fake games.

I only have about 50 games between my switch & 3ds.
^ I can't ever find the time to play them because.
A. I'm playing Satisfactory
B. Playing age of Empires 2, 3, &4
C.playing Civilization 5 or 6
D. Playing Cyberpunk 2077
E. Playing simcity 2013.
F. Playing palworld

I got so used to playing the same games over and over...it's hard for me to focus on playing something new.

I take pics of every game I own every since the XBOX 360 days. So all I have to do is look at my pics, which I group them by the console type! It saved me MANY times from not buying duplicates.... 😀

For me, it's important to pass part of the collection on. When I was a kid at a garage sale this collector gave me a massive stack of Yu Gi Oh cards with a lot of rare cards. Now I'm a tutor and I give away my old Pokemon cards, Funkos, and all that as prizes.

Video is nice, other ideas you can think of: how to protect collections agains thief (LA) or wildfire (again LA). One collector just grabbed few pieces during last wildfires and there were many cases of robbers robbing Lego/Pokeman stores.

I organize my games by genre, fps together. sports together, driving games together...etc

So I have a game collection about the size of yours and a Pop collection about the same size too. I learned years ago that if I’m hesitant to open it and play it, then I don’t want it. Some of my sealed games I picked up for deals but keep sealed because I already have the digital versions. If a day comes where I can’t access the digital games, I’m set.

On a separate note, the fellow who currently owns the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of video games (Antonio Montero (sp?)) has an incredible collection that I would love to see in person, but a lot of those games he only bought so he could say he has the complete N.A. collection. I mean, that’s his goal, and it’s cool that he achieved it for so many platforms, but if you’re buying games just to occupy space and complete a collection instead of buying them to play, would that fall into the category of hoarding? Games are meant to be played, after all. Just food for thought. Great video!

Dear collectors. I don’t hate you. I like the energy but please… stop paying ridiculous prices for those retro games. There are retro gamers that are not interested in accumulating 10k games and just want to buy, play and sell (with no profit at all) games from childhood and just can’t because of stupid high prices of original hardware and games.
