30 Things that Don't make Sense in Pokémon

The Pokémon makes no sense if you think about it. While there are probably an infinite about of odd things that don't make sense in this series. I've narrowed it down to 30 things that don't make sense in Pokémon in this video. Where looking at games like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Emerald, Heart Gold and Soul Silver, Fire Red and Leaf Green, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Sword and Shield.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (Nintendo Switch) is here! How is the latest open world Pokemon adventure? Let's talk.
Discovering and catching charming monsters across an enormous open world with an actually good story is really fun. But it is completely impossible to play Scarlet and Violet and not notice at least some performance issues, and not just framerate problems: these games actively crash, disconnect, and break in highly distracting ways basically all of the time.

The reason why Gastly can learn Sucker Punch is because the move's Japanese name is Surprise Attack.

18 and 19 is why I like Violet, they _technically_ know all learned Moves, but can only prepare 4 at a time, like 5th edition Wizards and their Spells.

23 seems to be explained in Pokémon Scarlet / Violet: I started a battle in the water, and my Pokémon was placed on an inflatable raft.

About self-destructing Moves, I believe in the Japanese versions of Pokemon, that the Move "Self-destruct" has in it's name, context of suicide bombing, which makes the Move even MORE makes no sense that you can get your Pokemon revived from Fainted status when they're literally suicide bombing themselves

Fainting and still being able to use HM moves is explained. Fainting means it can't battle anymore. Doesn't have the will to. However, it can still move around and help you out. It just doesn't have the strength to battle anymore. For catching fainted pokemon, the pokemon is supposed to choose whether or not it wants to go with you or not. If its knocked out, it can't make that decision

When you combine video game logic compared to real life logic. It's just so confusing!

The payout after battle is I think something between every trainer that is handled through the Pokédex or Trainer ID system automatically… getting your first Pokémon (@ 10 years old might be similar to getting your first personal bank account)

when you get a video idea so good that you make an entire series out of it

If you do a part 2 of stuff in Pokemon that don't make sense I have 2 suggestions:
1. Why can you only train your Pokemon up to level 100 not any further.
2. How come you need to have a good friendship with Eevee and it to be nighttime for Eevee to evolve into Umbreon?

For battling on the water, starting with Pokémon legends Arceus and pokemon scarlet and violet: any Pokémon that does not swim or float will be giving a raft or a floatation by the Pokeball. The flying Pokémon will be on the flying animation.

I wonder if maybe, it's not necessarily the trainers themselves that give money to the winner, but just that their bank somehow senses when they've lost and automatically transfers it to the winner. It's purely speculation, on my part, but it's the best explanation I can think of

as a matter of fact... the fact that even the crooks have to give you money from losing IS that deeply ingrained in the society of the Pokemon world. it's explained quite well in practice during Pokemon Legends: Arceus, as when you beat the Miss Fortunes, they'll all drop Nuggets, which as any Pokemon fan is aware, can be sold for quite a nice sum, and as we know, Pokemon battles weren't a huge thing during this time period, and any other Trainer battles in the game DON'T pay out, so we can assume that the practice started with the Miss Fortunes and their Nuggets.

The trainer money you get is probably digitally and on some kind of debit card. You need to connect your bank account to your oppenent, your pokeballs are connected to it and it can register you lost with fainted pokemon. Automatically transferring of a certain amount of money depending on your pokemon and opponents pokemon level.
