Personally, I love the Persona artstyle cause it isn't just a stereotypical anime or manga style. It's still anime but it has a sense of realism in it too; the proportions of the characters are very realistic. It has a sense of style to it as well, idk how to explain it but the style just pops, it catches ya eye.

Also I think ya videos are great dude. A real inspiration, especially durin the times we're currently in... this video is really good too btw, it's different yet keeps enough similarities to ya other content without it bein the exact same. It'd be great if this could turn into a series

I know this video is old, but honestly, I love the artstyles of Soejima because of the character proportions, and how clothes are drawn. Something about it just gets me.

I also have the p5 manga. (Ik it's not Soejima's style 100%, but it does replicate it well enough.) And I can confirm that I definitely like the way proportions and clothes are drawn on characters.

Dude first off, amazing video man! U definitely nailed the key details with Soejima’s style! Secondly, was NOT expecting that shoutout, thank you so much dude!! Seriously! And lastly to answer your question in the vid: I love Soejima’s art because of how versatile he can be. He can go from his cell shading and line art being so neat and tight to switching it completely and going for a more “grungy” or “scratchy” style with the heavy use of blacks in his work. Overall he’s in my top 3 favorite artist of all time because of how he can do that so seamlessly.

I'll be honest the art style never clicked with me until I played Persona 5 Royal. After playing it, I remember thinking or saying out loud, that I wanted Soejima's art style. To me, it's so pleasing to look at, but before I played the game I never looked at it enough to find out how much I loved the art style. Of course, I have other artists that I have certain aspects I want to study as well, but Soejima's is the art style I want to study the most.

Throughout the school year, I would look at artists and their art styles on my free time in order to learn and get better at art. It was both helpful and fun, with the main artists that I studied the most were Shigenori Soejima and Sui Ishida. This video is like a reminder and a study guide at the same time. Great video.

My biggest influences are Atsushi Okubo, Tite Kubo, and Soejima my taste for hip urban fashion style with my characters is probably because I read too much bleach, and soul eater since I was kid, and persona 5 when I turned 16 and started developing my own art style had a very heavy effect on my art style

I really do hate that myth tracing is a great way to learn muscle memory if you want to learn an art style it does have limitations but if you are trying to learn a style fast there's no shame in it

Thank you for this video! I've been looking everywhere to find a definition and references for that strong black flat color style was named, this video really helped me. Gotta play Persona 5 now lol
