This is fantastic! I have seen 20 of his movies. I cannot remember what this other film is, but I do know yhat Christmas Holiday is one of the two I'vde missed. I remember being annoyed with Thousands Cheer as he was barely in it. Thin plot allows a bunch of skits to be sent overseas to troops- not enough Kelly in them. On the Town is my favourite of the trip with Frank Sinatra.

Back to back dancing greats. There was nobody like them before and nobody like them after. I skipped ahead...we are both sitting with Singin' In The Rain in the top of the few times we agree....lol. Like I just commented on your Astaire video...I was shamed into watching more Kelly movies after I wrote a page about him. So my tally is 12 of the 22 listed. Two Kelly movies I own but have not watched yet are #14 Hello, Dolly and #4 Inherit The Wind. I would say my Top 3 are Singin' In The Rain, The Pirate and On The Town. For some reason I did not really enjoy An American In Paris. You have done another fine job. Voted up.

Gene Kelly gran actor y bailarín creo que el mejor bailarín junto a Fred Astaire del cine musical clásico.
Tiene grandes películas del musical con secuencias antologicas. Un día en Nueva York 1949 Stanley Donen y Gene Kelly ( On the Town ). Un americano en París 1951 Vincente Minnelli ( An American in Paris ).
Cantando bajo la lluvia 1952 Stanley Donen y Gene Kelly ( Singin in the rain ).
Brigadoon 1954 Vincente Minelli. Entre otras.
Yo personalmente le habría dado más puntuación a los grandes musicales Levando anclas 1945 George Sidney ( Anchors Aweigh) y a la película Las modelos 1944 Charles Vidor ( Cover Girl ).
Que a mí me parecen como aficionado dos películas de una calidad y clase inigualables.
También quiero mencionar a su mejor película no musical dicho por el mismo la gran película de aventuras Los tres mosqueteros 1948 George Sidney ( The Three Musketeers).
De este gran actor y bailarín irrepetible.

Regarding Thousands Cheer - this was from a period where MGM did not know how best to use him. He was a great dramatic actor as can be seen in Inherit the Wind. It was not until he was loaned out to Columbia that MGM realized they had a musical superstar under contract. With thousands Cheer, he was a GI who goes overseas and then falls in love while being enteryained by a type of Hollywood Caneeen type of venue. Thus, every real GI sees himself in Kelly's shows. Of course, Rita was one of only 6 dancers who danved with both Kelly and aastaire. Very exclusive group.
